ewa bami’jo: an invitation
“ewa bami’jo” means “come and dance with me” in the Yoruba language of Nigeria. although i am an Edo, this statement was my first call to partnership in DANCE. through this invitation, i hope to foster collaborations in movement with other artists who find something in my work that resonates with them. i work in butoh and black (african & african-american) dance and am very interested in learning from you. but hey, if you’re interested in collaborating on something else other than dance, that’s also cool. you’ll find my work in other media on this site- as well as the results of other collaborations. let me know what you’re thinking about!
